Travel | Canada | A Stroll in the UBC Endowment Lands

A green strip extends from shore to shore, north to south, separating the City of Vancouver from the University of British Columbia. This green network of hiking trails through a lush forest is the University of British Columbia Endowment Lands, specifically Pacific Spirit Regional Park, one of the loveliest parts of Vancouver. It provides a total escape from the noise and congestion of the city. It’s a great place to walk and enjoy nature – and all the better if you’re able to borrow a dog.

That’s what I did for this walk on a brisk and damp autumn day. I’m completely clueless as to which trails we chose; I always get turned around in here, but it’s hard to go wrong when you’re surrounded by trees and leaves and greenery.
