A Fungal Tour of Jericho Beach

Vancouver’s Jericho Beach is gorgeous at any time of year, but it gets even more interesting in the fall. It’s damp but not too cold, and the conditions are perfect for all kinds of mycological wonders to pop up. Recently I took a walk on the beach and got a close look at some old logs laying around. To my surprise, I discovered a thriving community of mysterious mushroomy creatures of all shapes, sizes and textures. It was the perfect time to test out my olloclip macro lens for iPhone.
